Charles Gray was an English actor best known for his role as the Criminologist in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and his portrayal of the Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the 1971 James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever opposite Sean Connery. Gray had previously appeared as Henderson in the 1967 Bond film You Only Live Twice.

Charles Gray died of cancer in London, England in 2000. He was 71 years old. He is one of the few actors to portray both a villain and an ally in the James Bond series, the others being American actor Joe Don Baker, who played Brad Whitaker in The Living Daylights and Jack Wade in GoldenEye, and German actor Walter Gotell, who played Morzeny in From Russia with Love and General Gogol in The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View to a Kill and The Living Daylights.
