Overview

Devil May Care is set in the June of 1967;the times of the Cold War and one year after Flemings last book, excluding the posthumously published Octopussy and The Living Daylights. Bond is widowed and for once portrayed as vulnerable, yet remains heroic, gallant and of course as libidinous as ever. It has the usual Fleming style of glamorous women, exotic locations abounding as well as the usual reprehensible amoral reprobate, Middle East drugs manufacturer Dr. Gorner. The book was written in six weeks.
