Mr White is the fourth villain of Casino Royale. Working for an unknown organisation, Mr White appears to know, and be known, by a number of terrorists, mercenaries, corrupt figures and other such types. Appearing in Steven Obanno’s army camp Mr Whites organisation has been contacted to provide banking services. When Obanno asks how can he trust the contact, Le Chiffre, Mr White has recommended, he tells him that all his organisation can guarantee is the introduction.
Much later while Le Chiffre manages to convince Obanno that he will have his money the next day, Mr White is not so easily convinced. With Le Chiffre not playing to the rules, Mr White’s organisation loses trust in him and he so Mr White is sent to kill him. Luckily for Bond, this is just in time. Bond doesn’t realise until later that Vesper Lynd has already made a deal to give Mr White the $150 million in exchange for Bonds life.
When Bond and Vesper arrive in Venice, Mr White sends Gettler to meet with Vesper and obtain the money. After Bond kills Gettler and his goons, Mr White watches from an unseen location as Bond tries to unsuccessfully revive Vesper. He then disappears into the shadows, seemingly forever. However it’s not until Bond looks at Vespers phone that he finds details about Mr White’s number. He tracks it to his estate in Italy, where he confirms who he is, and after asking whose calling, gets shot in the leg from a distance by Bond. Now crawling along his gravel driveway to the steps in front of his house, Bond appears answering Mr White’s question "Bond, James Bond". §
