Surrender is a 1997 song which accompaned the end credits of the film Tomorrow Never Dies. The song was written by the film's composer David Arnold, David McAlmont and lyricist Don Black and performed by Canadian singer k.d. lang. It was originally intended to be used as the main theme song for the fim but the producers preferred the attempt made by American singer Sheryl Crow. As such, Crow's song was used as the main title song and Surrender was relegated to the end credits. However, Arnold weaves the melody of Surrender throughout the score, leading many Bond fans to conclude that Surrender is the true theme song for Tomorrow Never Dies.
